A Reluctant Aristocrat: Assorted Memories of My Unconventional Life - New Chapters

Postscript Part One - Let Battle Commence

It had never occurred to me that one day I’d find myself in a protracted (“David vs. Goliath”) dispute with The Police. Who is “Goliath”? It’s The Police, and not just any Police, but the dear old Devon & Cornwall Police. And why, simply because they wouldn’t answer my questions or admit they’d “got it wrong”, and apologise.

So the following chapters tell that ongoing story (yes, it’s still ongoing) and, if you’ve read the first edition of “A Reluctant Aristocrat”, this may come as something of a surprise as this part is more like a statement than the content of my autobiography. Simply because these recorded memories have to be verifiably factual as, after all, The Police deal only in facts – don’t they?

However as you read on, you’ll find that I will revert to type, I promise.

Oh, and before proceeding, I’ll just mention that the 80s Burns Scorpion now has pride of place in The Guitar Collection. Plus, amongst others, I’ve added two and a half British-built Grimshaws (well, the “half” is a prototype guitar organ) and an “all original” 1970-ish Guyatone LG-23R with “built-in” drum machine which must have reposed peacefully in someone’s loft for the last seventy years! Thankfully these instruments didn’t result in the redundancy of every drummer, maybe just a few!

So, read on…
